How to Apply

The seminar is open to advanced undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals who are working in an area related to the seminar’s topic.

The deadline is February 28, 2027. Applicants can expect to receive a decision by mid-March 2027. Space is limited and early applications are given priority.

Send a one-page statement of interest, your CV and the names and contact details of two references to contact@academia-tocqueville.org. At least one letter of recommendation should be sent directly to the same address before the deadline.

A registration fee of $800 / 750 € for students, or $1,000 / 950 € for young professionals, is requested for overhead purposes. It represents a small fraction of the true cost of the program. Some scholarships are available to assist students in financial need.

Accommodation is provided on site. Meals are provided throughout the seminar, except lunches and dinners on the afternoons and evenings when participants are free to explore Paris on their own.

Yes. Reading material is made available free of charge to accepted applicants a month before the seminar.

Yes. Participants are expected to arrange their own travel to Paris.
